Happiness

Finding happiness has been a constant battle of mine.  Every day I have to wake up and decide if I'm going to CHOOSE to be happy today.   You know what makes it all worth it?  Having these amazing 3 people in my life!  Happiness truly is spending time with them.  Watching Mara & Logan grow up so far has been the biggest blessing.  They are a constant reminder of how much wonder and magic there is in this life.  Their little personalities make me beam with joy!  I wouldn't want them any other way.  They are my life.  They are my purpose.  They are my love.  Teaching and nurturing them is my calling in this world.  I'm so blessed to be a part of their growing lives.

How amazing is that handsome man?  Really!?  He is my world.  I see how hard he works to make such an amazing life for us in absolute amazement.  Like today, he got 2 hours of sleep, and the day before got maybe 5.  He does it all for us.  He is the sweetest, smartest, most loving and sensitive man I've ever known.  Top that off with his silly sense of humor and it's the perfect storm of amazing.  Serious, yet goofy.  Loving, patient and kind.  Smart but down-to-earth.  That right there is something you definitely do not find everyday!

Lastly, I find happiness in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Talk about miraculous!  Everything I've been given is from a loving and kind Father in Heaven who knows me personally and understands me in a way no one else ever will.  He knows the things that can bring me the most joy.  Sometimes I lose sight of that, and find myself wondering through a trial with no direction...but by the end I understand it all, and find gratitude for His wisdom.  My most cherished lessons I've learned in this life have come through some of the hardest trials I've been faced with.  I wouldn't change a thing.

First day of Preschool

When did Mara get so big?!?  I have very mixed feelings about Preschool.  I absolutely love it, but at the same time feel sad about losing my little girly!  She is having a blast so far.  Everyday she comes home with some new crazy story and the cutest art projects.  I'm glad we found this Performing Arts Preschool for her. It fits her perfectly.
I guess my Computer Graphics class has been good for something!  Happy almost Halloween to all of you!  Feel free to use this if you'd like.

The people at the party

I have to say that my kids are some of the luckiest kids in the world.  We have oodles of supportive family surrounding us.  We are very blessed.  Thank you to every one who made Logan a part of your busy lives!  I know you all have "stuff" to do, but it means the world to me and the kids when you make the family a priority!  We love you all!

The party

Lets be honest, parties are more for me than the kids.  I LOVE spending hours making silly things that no one is going to notice.  There's just something about putting a party together that makes my heart go pitter pat pat.  Here are all the "details" from the big day.  My favorite thing about this party?  The checkered flag duck tape I found.  (Yes, it is Duck tape, I did not spell it wrong).  Some close 2nds are the photo #2 (thank you pinterest for the idea), and re-using the table runner from Mara's tea party.  Who knew a tea party and a racing party could have similar details?
More on the #2, I've decided that's going to be our birthday tradition.  Every year we'll add pictures and take away a few to create their new year number.  I'm pretty excited about it.

How can you not love this little man?

How he is already 2 I do not understand.  It has flown by.  I miss it already..  I just want both my babies to stay this way forever.
As a 2 year old, Logan is smart.  The kid chats up a storm.  He can count to 10 and knows his alphabet to P.  The best part?  I haven't tried to teach him any of it.  At the 2 year well check one of the questions is "can he/she put together 2 words to make a sentence?"  Well, he uses as many as it takes.  Even if that's 47.  No joke.  He's a smarty pants.
He absolutely adores his sister, but that hasn't changed since the beginning of his life.  He is my little "snuggle bug" still.  He loves to cuddle with mommy and give me lots of kisses and hugs.
He still naps 2-3 hours a day-insert angels singing here-.
Depending on who you are talking to he either looks just like my dad and brothers, or is the spitting image of Sean as a child.  I believe both.
He is mildly obsessed with choo choos, and may or may not be really bad at sharing them...even if they are not even his to begin with!
He cries every.single.time. we drop Roo off at preschool.  But it's nothing a little Mater can't fix.
His favorite treat are suckers.
His favorite fruit are strawberries.
His favorite meal is noodles (it doesn't matter what the sauce is). if it's paired with a noodle, he'll eat it.
The kid can throw a tantrum unlike any other I've yet experienced first hand.  He beats Mara by far.  Luckily they don't happen often.
What more can I say?  This kid is pretty darn amazing.  Every moment I spend with him I feel SO blessed that Heavenly Father made sure that he came to our family.  I love you Mr!
