Random

There is a reason why little kids do not have tons of hair. It is virtually impossible to get it done with all the wiggling around! So I had discovered a good way to get her to hold still. I'd set her in the sink so she'd have no where to run off to. Well, as you can tell this day was unsuccessful. She turned on the faucet and got herself all wet, so then we just had fun in the sink for a while. She thought it was awesome! Needless to say we do not do her hair in the sink anymore.

Valentines

This is Mara enjoying a leisurely time-out on Valentines Day. This particular time-out was not successful since Mommy was taking pictures!! But I had to have at least one picture on her time-out chair!

If you've looked at Brooke's blog you've already seen what we did for our husband on V-Day. I have fallen in love with the cupcake book! It has so many awesome ideas! This is the box of chocolates. They are on mini cupcakes. They aren't actually chocolates either, they are marshmallows dipped in melted frosting (that makes them shiny). Since Sean loves food and cupcakes...I figured this was perfect!

I thought I should post a picture of Mara's Valentines Day outfit. She actually had two, but I forgot to take pictures of her in the other one the next day. I'll get around to it next time she wears it!

The many uses of the Bumbo Chair

At first we used the Bumbo to watch our tiny peanut sit up! It was so cute! Then is was used as a highchair to feed her that nasty rice cereal. It's been sitting in her closet for quite a while now because I had no use for it....until now.

Time-Out
1. She can't get out
2. It's a consistent spot and chair

I had no idea what attitude this little girl possessed until the past couple of days. I now have to "discipline" my almost-one-year-old. I don't know if I'm ready for this.

It's been very tempting to take a picture of it, but we cannot look at her or talk to her while she's in time out, otherwise she thinks we're playing with her. She screams and screams! After one minute in the chair her and I have a little chat about behavior, I kiss her, tell her I love her, and she's off to do the next pain-in-the-butt thing. It's all about consistency, right?

Oh, she's not THAT bad. It's just so weird to me. One night I put my darling baby to bed, and the next day she is a toddler with attitude. Gotta love parenthood!

Stretching the $Dollar$

With an impending move, and adding another child to the mix, it has got me thinking about what I can do to help our dollar stretch just a little bit farther. I've always loved shopping for sales (I got that from my Mom), but I think I could do more. So, I'm asking you for all of your tips to make your dollar go farther. I came across this amazing blog called: iamfrugal.blogspot.com. It was very insightful. I am hoping to become the master of good deals! Please help!

Yes, we're crazy and we know it!

So we're expecting Baby #2 in October. Yes, that only makes me five weeks along. But if you know me you know that I can not keep a secret! I can keep serious ones for sure, but happy ones I can not! I just get so excited to tell the world! Our plan was to wait a long time to tell people....but obviously that didn't work. So there you have it! Mara and this baby will be 19 months apart (that's always the next question people ask). I'm super excited to have them so close together! Sean is wishing for a boy and I don't really care either way. Although, I do think it is a boy at this point. We shall see.

In other fun/good/exciting Evans Family news, we will be moving in July! Probably to some super cool apartments in Pleasant Grove behind Maceys. So wish us luck that all goes well! So we are going to be having many adventures in the weeks and months to come!
