March 4th!!!

I'm scheduled to be induced March 4th! The end is in sight! If I dilate anymore before that, it could even be sooner! (As of today I'm 36 weeks and 2 days, and I am dilated 1 1/2cm and 70% effaced!) We also did another ultrasound today and she is approx. 5lbs. 9oz. Only the 17% range. So my guess is that she's going to be small just like her mom! She already has lots of hair too! I had no idea you could see that on an ultrasound, but sure enough you can! The Dr. showed it to me! It was way cute! I would be very surprised if she didn't have hair since Sean and I both were born with tons of it!

My perfect Husband!

Sean is so awesome! This morning I wake up to him standing beside our bed with breakfast! It was such a nice surprise! Plus, I've been kinda stressing about some insurance things and he called and got it all figured out this morning too! What a good guy. I absolutely hate calling people on the phone. I was totally not looking forward to that, and now I don't have to do it! Anyways, I love Sean! He's amazing, I'm such a lucky girl!

Decisions...

So, I get to decide if I want to be induced in three weeks, or in four weeks...To be induced in three weeks, I have to have an amnio done. If Mara's lungs are developed then we'll go ahead and induce. If they're not, we'll wait another week and regardless of if they're developed or not I'll be induced then. So at four weeks I don't have to have to get an amnio. So my question is: should I get the amnio in three weeks? Or should I just wait another week? I'm thinking I should just wait and get induced in four weeks. But I don't know. I guess I've got some thinking to do!

Funny Story

So for all of those who know me, you know that I'm a very jumpy person. It's been worse since I've been pregnant, but today it's been terrible! All day long I think I can see something out of the corner of my eye, so I jump/freak out for a second. Or I think I can hear someone upstairs, when I know that no one is home...etc. I have no clue why it's so bad today. On to the funny story. Sean went to bed and I wasn't tired yet, so I decided to read on the couch for a while. I'm totally lost in my own world, when Sean decides he needs to tell me something so he comes out of our bedroom. When you open that door it clicks really loud. It's by no means a quiet door. I about peed my pants! Then I burst out into tears because it freaked me out so bad, THEN i started hyperventilating! Poor Sean had no idea what was wrong with me! I just freaked...when I finally calmed down (after breathing into a bad for a couple of minutes) I was so embarrassed! I didn't even know what to say. Anyways, I thought it was a funny story and I'd give you a little laugh at my expense!

No meds...

So, I ran out of my blood pressure medicaiton (labetalol) so I called the office today just to see if they'd refill it for me. The lady asked me when my next appointment was and it's tomorrow morning, so she said it could wait until I come in. Problem: I've forgotten a dose before and it's not pretty. I get pretty sick, plus this will be missing TWO doses. Hmm....I guess we'll see what happens!

Blue Man Group

So my father-in-law bought us all tickets to see blue man group for last night. It was really neat. We went to The Gateway and ate at California Pizza Kitchen (one of my favorite restaurants!), then went to the show at the Energy Solutions Arena. The opening act was kinda of stupid. I just kept sitting there thinking, "if this is what I'm in for, I want to leave. I didn't sign up to get a migraine" it was obnoxious and loud! I'm not really a fan of listening to dj's ruin good music with a bunch of wickidy wacks and stuff. However, he did do some cool stuff with videos. (Note to all pregnant women: NOT a good idea to go up to Salt Lake in the middle of winter, where you will be walking around. NOT comfortable at all! And if you decide to do it anyways, make sure that you will be on time so you won't have to RUN to get to your destination. If you have blood pressure problems, hands down, do NOT go. Not fun at all. By the time we finally sat down for the show I seriously thought I was going to die! My heart was pumping so hard that my eyes were all blurry. Plus, those chairs are not comfortable at all...my feet didn't reach the ground...so by the time the show was over both my feet had doubled in size. Then by the time you finally feel semi-normal again it's time to leave and start walking around again! Today I still feel sick from all of it. My whole body is sore, and my blood pressue still hasn't gone back to normal.) I went into the concert not having a clue what the blue man group really were, so I was very nervous after sitting through the opening act, but the show was awesome! Seriously, I had a blast! One of our favorite parts of the show was when they turned out the lights, and the guys had on these suits that had lights in the shape of stick figures. So all you could see were these dancing stick figures. I'm terrible at explaining things, but I hope you get the picture! I forgot my camera, and was SO bummed. Anyways, it was really fun. My one wish for the whole evening was that I wasn't pregnant. I would've enjoyed it a whole lot more! But thanks to my father-in-law for the tickets and the fun night! It was awesome getting to spend the evening with him and Sean doing something fun for a change!

Pregnancy Update!

Things are going great! Honestly, it couldn't be better. The medication my doctors put me on has done an awesome job at keeping my blood pressure under control. I'm even on a low dose of it and it's working! I'm still suppose to "take it easy", "put your feet up", and "not work"...So far Mara (the baby) is still doing awesome! I have a follow up appointment with the perinatologist (basically a specialized OB) on Tuesday to do another utlrasound, just to make sure she's still growing ok. I guess that's the concern with high blood pressure, it can restrict the blood flow to the baby which can cause problems. So we just have to keep checking her!

My doctors tell me that because of the blood pressure issues I can plan on getting induced around week 38 or so. Maybe sooner, mayber later. But for sure they won't let me go past 39 weeks. I'd rather go around 38 just because 39 weeks is my birthday! I'd rather not be in labor for it...if ya know what I mean? I'd rather have a cute little baby here!

We set up her crib the other day and it is so stinkin' cute! I'm so glad I picked it! I'll post picutres as soon as I have all the bedding made and put on the bed. The crib is a two-tone antique white and espresso. Her bedding is pink, brown, and cream. My mom is helping me make it! It's been way fun!

We're SO ready for her to be here! I can't sleep at all anymore. My doctor told me it's ok to take a benadryl to help me sleep once in a while, but even with that I'm up constantly. Either to pee or just becuase I'm SO uncomfortable! I know I won't be getting any sleep when she arrives either, but at least when I do get sleep I'll be able to do it! I can't wear my wedding ring anymore...that makes me so sad! I'm just too puffy! I need to stop complaining...sorry.

I just try to stay busy with a bunch of baby projects! I've learned that I enjoy sewing. It's fun, and so much cheaper to make everything yourself! Plus it's been really fun spending a lot of time with my mom while she teaches me everything! I'll continue to keep y'all updated.
