We got a puppy!

Her name is Mara

She comes when you call her.
She always has her tongue wagging out of her mouth.
If she needs to take something somewhere she just carries it in her mouth.
She is obsessed with shoes and feet (gross!!)
If you throw a toy she will chase it and bring it back.
She is all over the place like a hyper puppy would be.
She loves to make new friends.
She plays so hard that she just passes out in whatever position she lands in.
She loves to drool.
She loves to play and she sometimes loves to cuddle.
We love our little "puppy" and wouldn't trade her for the world!

Guns are not toys, unless...

What a fun dad

I was busy cleaning away when I hear Sean call my name, I look up to find this. No wonder why Mara is so attached to her daddy, he is always finding something new and fun to do!

(p.s. don't you just love my new boots? This is the first winter since I don't even know when that I have good warm shoes! I'm so excited!!)

You know you're a mommy when...

You are obsessed with staying stocked up on baby food.

You play peek-a-boo with you child at the gas station while you are pumping gas and your child is in the car. (Lets just say I got some funny looks).

You get excited over a poopy diaper.

You are actually excited to brush someone elses teeth...

You realize you spent more time getting your child ready for the day than you spent getting yourself ready for the day.

When given the chance to pick out an outfit for your child or yourself, you pick the child.

You actually respect your body and the things it does! (you can create life!! Who cares if it made you gain 50 lbs?)...

You go on vacation and can't wait to get back to the little person you left behind.

You spend all night awake with a sick screaming baby and you still love them in the morning.

You spend every waking moment thinking about someone else.

Even though times get tough (like last night for instance) I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a mother. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Sean has wanted to go here since he came home from his mission in Germany. He met the owner while he was vacationing there (and trying to find employees that were bilingual). Anyways, it was amazing! I think with both gained like 30 pounds over the weekend because the food there was incredible! They had a cute little bakery with yummy goodies, and italian gelato on top of two amazing restaurants. We actually didn't get to go to the way nice one Schneitter's, because it said business casual and we only had jeans. The Bistro was amazing anyways! Can I just tell you how nice it was to sleep in a king size bed? Not that I don't love cuddeling with Sean, but a whole night of undesturbed sleep was fabulous (not to mention the fact that we actually got to sleep through the night for once! Mara has been such a stinker about sleeping since she started getting teeth!). The grounds were so beautiful. We went on many walks around Midway. Speaking of walks, we got into town and had a few hours before we could check in so we went to see Twilight at the ghettoist (is that a word?) theater in Heber. Before the movie started we went to a little "saloon" called The Spicy Lady. It was so fun! It was more like Moulin Rouge with black lace and amazing chandeliers than an old western saloon. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere was so fun! So if you're even in Heber you should definately check it out. I feel like I'm forgetting so much....either way, it was a much needed vacation with Sean! Thanks to my mom and dad for watching our little sugar bean so we could get away! Why are there no picutres you ask? Because I forgot my camera! Yes, I am still mad at myself about it. I'm just forgetful like that, what can ya do?

Thanks Sean for an amazing getaway! Thanks for an unbelieveable two years. I couldn't ask for a better husband, friend, and father to our child! You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Ok, enough cheese. I love you!

Three Days

Three days and then it's the weekend! Brittani is the worst at getting a surprise or giving a surprise. She gets excited about surprising people, so if it's a present she usually gives it to whoever before their birthday, or Christmas, or whatever. It's pretty awsome! She also can't wait to be surprised, so she'll always try and bug you to know what's going on. Our anniversary is on Monday, but since I have to work we're doing something Saturday till Sunday. I'm sneaky, so she has no idea what's going on, and I made sure I didn't let anybody know what's going on, (her mom especially) so that she just has to wait to find out. I'll give her credit though, she's been pretty good, but I know the wait is killing her. Just three more days babe. Love ya.
