True Story

Logan woke up from his morning nap his usual happy self.  Since we were in a hurry to leave somewhere I set him on the floor to grab the hair gel (a dude's gotta look handsome) came back and did his hair.  I left to go put the gel away in the bathroom and hear Mara yelling, "Logan fall over!"  She is very protective of him--so naturally every time he falls over she gets me to fix it.  She is very concerned.

Anyways, I go to open their door (Mara always shuts doors, I think she might be OCD, but that's another story) but I can't.  The little guy fell over right in front of the door.  I can only open it a crack.  I find this hilarious.  No one is hurt, everyone is happy, so I find the humor in the situation.

Hmmm...now what do I do?  I pull myself together long enough to ask Mara to grab his legs and pull him towards the chair.  I can see her determined little face and she's says, "k mommy".  After a few grunts she goes flying with a sock in her hand.  Do you have a visual yet?  Trust me, it's better if you imagine what it looked like.  I convince her to try again, and sure enough after some grunting she goes flying again with the other sock in her hand.  Without any direction (because I'm laughing so hard I'm crying) she starts again.  She doesn't fall--but gives up saying, "Logan too heavy."

Meanwhile Logan is just as happy as a clam.  Talking and laughing.  Mara's antics are amusing him.  In Mara's defense I don't know if I could drag someone that's only two pounds less than me.  :)  I've run out of options.  So I sit in the hall and wait till he wiggles enough that I can wedge the door open.  No joke, I haven't stopped laughing since this all began.  Finally he wiggles enough that I can open the door far enough to wedge my arm in there.  I'm able to sit him up and open the door.

I learned my lesson.  Never set a tree stump--I mean Logan in front of the door.

Family Pictures

I think I've mention before how spoiled I am.  Let me clarify.  I have an extremely talented aunt who loves to take pictures of my kiddos!  How lucky!!!  This February I got to learn just how hard getting one good picture in two hours can be.  Freezing cold+twoyearold+baby=not the best picture taking experience.  But somehow she managed to get some good ones!  THANKS A MILLION!!!  I now have pictures of Logan hanging up along with all of Mara's.  Not to mention some family pictures.

Fun @ The Park

We're still trying to take advantage of the good days and head to the park!  Me and Logan usually chillax on the blanket while Sean and Mara run around and play.

Does this picture not crack you up?!

Random Fun

Everytime Mara watches Tinkerbell she has to wear her tutu.
When we went to Logan's follow-up appointment we found out that he had the worst ear infection the doctor had seen in quite a while.  We had no clue.  He had been a little somber at times, but not sad at all!  He is so easy going, it's bad sometimes!
At his six month well check the doctor was concerned about the cough he had been having for four months.  Sure enough he was also wheezing.  With a family history of asthma he was concerned.  So we started breathing treatments four times a day, and a liquid steroid twice a day for five days.  It was at his follow-up appointment for this that we discovered the ear infection.  We were instructed to give him the inhaler is we feel he needs it during a coughing fit or if he's wheezing again.  Poor dude.
Daddy showed Mara a new place to hide!  The laundry hamper.
We always grew up with the tradition of Easter outfits.  So we had to take pictures of the kids in their new clothes!  Well, they weren't "new" because they were worn to Brandon's wedding, but they worked!  Taking pictures of teh two of them together is nearly impossible.  So we got seperates.  The picture on the sofa was the closest we had to a good one together!

Easter with the Millers

Inbetween conference sessions we had an egg hunt at my parents.  My dad was working (like he has to every conference weekend) so we missed him lots!
All the goods.
That face is priceless!  She was so excited the entire time.  Running around like a crazy girl.

Mara is in love with Max.  She lost her spot as oldest grandchild, but she doesn't seem to mind.  She's just excited to have a kid around to play with while we're at my parents.
